When he mentions traffic, let me help put things into perspective lol. When I lived in Houston I worked for DirecTv. Katy Texas is where I picked up supplies and had my Tech meetings. Driving there at 5am it took me 25 minutes at most. When we had tech meetings we also picked up our equipment and supplies for the week. So we normally got out of the office around 10am...So obviously traffic picked up...It literally took me 1hr 30 min to 2hrs to drive back to where I lived lol. We're talking 25 min to an 1hr 30-2hrs lol.

I love Katy, I worked out there at two different call centers and then we use to go to Katy Mall alot before people really knew about Katy, it was our great secret back in 99- 04, I am thinking about moving back to this area because of the division in Louisiana and so my daughter can experience a diverse and melting pot culture that Houston/ Katy offers.

I have to disagree with the variety of food options. I moved from uptown, Tanglewood, to Cinco Ranch earlier this year and the food places don’t even begin to compare to the diversity and plethora of food choices in uptown.

How's the weather in Katy? Does it flood a lot?

The weather is super hot In Katy for most of the year but The good news is that, for the most part and with few exceptions, Katy neighborhoods are located out of Special Flood Areas. So it doesn’t have very high chances of flooding.

@@FrankHorigan yes that was a crazy hurricane that definitely took all of us by surprise. Most of the city flooded during that time. I hope we don’t ever see anything like that again

Yes there are LOTS of great schools. Katy isd has some of the top schools in the entire state of Texas
