@basementdwellercosplay Жыл бұрын
Yeah, ive only trusted one chiropractor and thats only cause he will tell it to be straight that unlike 99% of chiropractors that will say they can cure you, he admits that no one can heal my back issues but here are ways i can help lessen the pain. Most of my treatments for my back, that work amazing for my slipped disk, arent in his office and i do at home without any payment to him. The only one i have to go in to see him is a tens unit that is stronger than any than ones you can buy. I only trust that chiropractor to crack my back
@CoRLex-jh5vx Жыл бұрын
Fr. Mine was pretty good at the actual chiropracty side but charged exorbitant prices and would only sell a minimum of six sessions as a package. I went with twelve and then had to miss what should have been the eleventh to get an emergency tetanus shot, tried to get hold of her to tell her and she just didn't pick up. Left a voicemail and then tried to arrange to book the next session, and nothing. Crickets. Could not get hold of her whatsoever. Its been two years and I still haven't had the last session I actually paid for. Also a detail I feel is worth mentioning; she worked out of her house which was absolutely massive, and in the room she worked in every wall was absolutely covered (as in could not see the wallpaper) with either bookshelves or framed paintings of horses. Also she had a stack of about seven matching books all in a row and the same one was upside down every single time I went and it annoyed me to no end.

And I'm supposed to Google to figure out what you need to do?? It was like he had never seen a patient with an autoimmune disease before. @jameshopkins50310 ай бұрын
Yup. And I hear that "Youre too young" crap all the damn time. I still have a body that got injured. Being young doesn't mean you CANT feel pain. It makes you feel so unheard and unimportant. I remember when a doctor finally agreed to put me on pain meds I cried not only for the relief that would come but simply because someone was finally believing me. Not every one is an addict looking for a fix they just screwed it up for the rest of us who the medicine is actually made for. I wish I didn't need it to live a normal life believe me. The side effects alone suck.

When Katya said the second doctor wouldn’t even see her because of her age, are you kidding?! I hate the medical industry, they will make lifesaving medicine absolutely unaffordable and deny people in pain access to treatment. My grandma has so many back problems to where she needs a back brace, constant appointments at the chiropractor to make sure things are in place, MONTHLY cortisol shots in her spine that also include burning off her nerves and they still say she’s not bad enough to even be CONSIDERED for surgery. I’m so glad that Katya was able to get the help that she needed because others definitely aren’t as lucky.

I can relate to the cortisone shot, I would get one with contrast for my hip MRI. I had hip surgery in the Army when I was 26, I had a tear in my labrum, and illopsoas tendon was getting impinged between my ball and socket, so it needed to be cut. The socket of my hip also had some extra bone growth on the outside, causing the impingement, and it had to be shaved down. It took about 2 years to feel 100% back to normal after surgery. I still have pain occasionally, but it just depends.

Welp...this is literally what I just had 2 MRIs for this weekend. I herniated a disc two years ago and my hips been bad since April... Now we're waiting on the results to find out if it's bursitis of the greater trochanter or something more serious, whether it's injections or surgery. Also, yes, breaking down crying is what happens with chronic pain. I broke down crying talking to the doctor this time, saying I was tired of being dismissed by other doctors and how I'm tired of being in pain (I just healed from a partial patellar tendon tear that the male doctors completely dismissed as a fat pad impingement despite clear internal bruising down the front of my leg from a tear, my fibular join locking up due to the injury, and the fact I almost collapsed going down the stairs when it was tearing (I only didn't because I didn't want the dog in my arms to get hurt). Here's hoping I'll be in less pain soon lol.
@JDMimeTHEFIRST Жыл бұрын
I relate to having to find a female doctor who won’t dismiss your pain to actually get an MRI in the first place. Also, as an autistic person, I can’t rate pain on a scale . I’m not allowed by neurotypicals to feel pain or I make them uncomfortable. So me rating my pain on a scale makes no sense. You should look at the MRI to decide if surgery is needed. Not a freaking pain scale .
