Accepting vulnerability in the form of humiliation. Yes, definitely something I'd like to work on. Thanks, Katy! 💚 Also, anyone reading this: please keep your fingers crossed for me, it's time to quit my job today.

Great podcast as always! I like the idea of the coin, I’ll keep that in mind as a tool! Also if it’s alright, would you share the program you joined? Is it still ongoing?

Yes it is! Look up Stacey Boehman or her program "2k for 2k." She focuses a lot on coaches but I know there are other businesses in there as well. It has helped me A LOT with my art business.

Katy, do you take YT video requests by the way? 😊 I was wondering what your take on pricing your artwork is from a coaching perspective...? The general advice seems to be to compare your stuff to others' who make similar art, see how they price, then factor in material cost and size of the artwork etc. etc., but I'm not so sure this works so well for people who struggle with accepting their art and themselves as artists. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. 💙💛

Ooooh I think a selling art video will be great from a coaching perspective. My quick advice is that you find a number in your own mind that feels like a no-brainer price. In the beginning, you really want to focus on undercharging and OVER delivering. Don't undercharge from fear that they won't buy your work unless it's cheap or that you need to be cheaper than other artists. Undercharge from a place of "yea of course they'll pay for this, it's a STEAL, and then I'm going to absolutely blow their minds with what I deliver" and if someone is not willing to pay that undercharged price, they are not your client. So I'm less about comparing our art to other artists and more about feeling it in your own body a number that might be under what you usually want to get paid but it's a number that you're like, IT'S A NO BRAINER and then plan on blowing your own mind and theirs. You're gonna get referrals like crazy and that's gonna increase your belief in yourself and your art and you'll charge higher and higher prices.

@@katerinafrancesca Thanks so much! I hope you do make that video some time. :) It's an interesting topic, for sure, with all its nuances. :)
