Traditional medicine does work. In Fiji even doctors advice for traditional healers. Our rugby players broken bones gets fully healed in just a few days and are able to play in the next match. Thank you Tonga for keeping the tradition.

This film is very inspirational, especially when I am a full Tongan growing up in a foreign country. Although I consider my self fluent and familiar with the Tongan language and culture there is still plenty of other factors I am not familiar with. Thank you for this great film!! It would have been nice as well to learn more about the faito'o fakatevolo as well since it also plays a huge role in the Tongan way of living. All in all I am thankful for this lovely and educational video! Cheers

In Tonga, History is important 💋 Thank you for the post. Much to learn from all culture. There's medicine for everything. We just have to search/learn/ respect difference.

Tongan Medicine Men and Women not only make medicine that have healing properties but also abide by healthy lifestyle choices that can be reflected by their own lives. There's a lot more to learn about the healing properties of the island, and that stuff really does work!

Wow you managed to take some really raw footage here esp the shots at the funeral. I myself am tongan but grew up overseas and have learnt a heap of stuff from this. Yea I remember taking garden drink - you only have a few table spoons and you literally get better.

In some ways I wish I knew Tonga healers or how to do what they do because I think it would be beneficial to be able to help family like that
