Aloha, Nobody uses the biking or walking improvements. They have even cut bus service on Sundays due to lack of employees to drive the bus. The scary part is people are priced out of housing. The billionaires are kicking out the millionaires. Zuckerberg's people have bought ALL ocean front property from South Shore to Hanapepe. They will develop all this land with what will become estates in the tens of millions. They did not renew the Kauai Coffee Co. lease so the land can be developed?? I don't have all the details, but have learned through the coconut wireless and pieced together the rest from people I know secondhand. I think inflation and coming vehicle laws will force out even more working class people. You can not work hard enough to compete with the generational and corporate wealth flowing over here. The more problems the mainland has the more they come to escape the chaos. I am sure they will pack workers into the city corridor while the rich live on estates and drive all they want. God help us.

The workers haven't come back to Kauai after the world was shut down! We just don't have the tourism we had prior to lockdown. Now they're "trying" to rebuild Coco Palms. Even if they finish it, I don't think they'll keep it open! We don't have enough employees to work in the hotels and restaurants now - After many have gone out of business! A valet at One Hotel told me they aren't advertising the hotel b/c they don't have enough staff to run the hotel! And developers keep building! I'll find out what Zuck did southside ... Disgusting!

think of all the money they spent on these plans which could be out of a comic book. I have worked for some of the largest developers, Ie the Irvine Company in Newport Beach, and was responsible for the shopping center leasing. YOu should have seen some of the plan the architectrs came up with . They get paid along the way so and you can come up with some crazy unmarketable plans .
