American navy has the first operational hydroponics to supply vegetables for troops in 2nd world war by American agricultural scientists they really started first practical production of vegetables , after that in early 1960s Netherlands universities bring the modern rock wool and ducts bucket culture of hydroponics which made it to commercial level terrific world class introduction of technologies Dutch inventions in this field turn this into an agricultural industry and made hydroponics as we know today , still dutch companies are the leaders in hydroponics and green house technologies , brittish contributed to this by their invention of NFT sector , Israeli students got scholarships given by ducth government and studied in Netherland universities when Israel was poor in 1960s and they copied this technology ( but Israelis pretant and act to indians in india they are the leaders in this technology but not going to act that to western world ) , but they got enormous help from the Dutch government and universities of Netherlands not only in hydroponics and green house technology but whole Agricultural technologies :24 4:24
