I have already installed 3 KW on grid solar set with govt subsidy. I want to make it hybrid.. Which type of hybrid inverter is best? And is there any problem when there is no electricity and the solar system produces low energy.. I mean, suppose my current (present) Load is 2kw (water heater is running) and the solar produces 1kw only (with no electricity / or load shedding). Then is there any problem to the hybrid inverter? If You Want to Convert Your On Grid Solar System into Hybrid Solar System Then you have to change your inverter and Luminous Havells is a good company's inverter but whichever inverter your vendor is suggesting you, you should install that inverter because if there is any problem in its service etc then your vendor can solve it and give it to you easily. And you will have to install at least 4 lead acid battery in a 3 kW solar system. If you want to install lithium ion battery, then you can discuss about it with your vendor . As long as there is electricity, there will be no problem in your hybrid system. But if there is no electricity and your solar is producing enough electricity, then also you will not face any problem. But as you are saying, if there is no electricity and the solar will not be able to produce that much electricity, then in such a case it will depend on your inverter capacity . When there is no electricity and at that time you are running more load in your house. As compare to your inverter, I think your inverter might show overload. I am not sure about it but as maybe it can be show overload or It is also possible that your appliance may not start or work at all without enough power . But if you install a high power inverter with high load capacity then the chances of you facing any problem will be very less.

it it was not for government's anti-china propoganda, it would cost 12-13 rs/w + inverter , so for 3 kw panels at 3000 × 13 = 39000 and 21000 inverter will come to 60000, 5 kw will be 65000+35000 = 100000. Govt is un necessarily enriching adani and other cronies at public expense and the same time stifling competition and selling inefficient system.

Write to government to relax non dcr, wait for new efficient cheaper 750w hjt modules and cheap lifepo4 batteries to come to market so u may not even need subsidy..its going to get cheaper and cheaper
