Enjoy a remarkable performance in one of the most memorable Cheltenham Gold Cups ever.
One of the most anticipated clashes in jumps racing for several years, vaunted stablemates Kauto Star and Denman go head to head in the 2008 totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup in a race won in extraordinary style by the younger pretender Denman, 'The Tank' forging clear in devastating style in the most prestigious jumps race of them all for trainer Paul Nicholls, jockey Sam Thomas and owner Paul Barber and Harry Findlay.
Denman is regarded as one of the great steeplechasers in the history of jumps racing, notably landing the Hennessy Gold Cup - now known as the Ladbrokes Trophy - at Newbury twice, most famously landing his second triumph under top-weight off a mighty rating of 170 in one of the great weight-carrying performances in jumps racing history.
Denman landed the RSA Chase in brilliant style in 2007 and won the Cheltenham Gold Cup at the first attempt in 2008. While he did not win the blue riband again, he ran in the race for the next three years and finished a noble second on each occasion - to Kauto Star in 2009, Imperial Commander in 2010 and behind Long Run in 2011.
