ok so I followed this recipe and it's very effective. As a first timer at about 215 lbs I drank 1 blender full and at my tolerance level it was a bit much. I'd suggest 1/2 and give it 30 min or so to guage your tolerance. Not really unpleasant but I wouldn't want to drive.

good method it seems like. i might say try it with warmer water (and no ice) and you might be surprised. i always thought you needed it to be cold but i experimented and found that a bit warmer water does seem to make it a little stronger

So I just made it again. Used 6 heaping spoons and maybe just over half of the water. Kneaded the bag for Abt 10 min after 1st sift. Used the handled sifter for 2nd time, then bag sift 2 more xs and. . . Oh yeah and a splash of half &half. Looked for the sheen everyone keeps mentioning. It was there! Super drinkable -- def would be cool as some mentioned to add some chocolate syrup after lol but. Best kava I've made in the past 5 years lol. And for those who think there's an easier way? This stuff would be super pricey bc you'd have to pay someone else for that part. So, it's real, it's natural, it requires a small process. It's kind of therapeutic to do so anyway! Cheers. I find very warm water gets more kavalactones out as well, but the big secret is the agitation - the blender is spot on. agree with the milk/coconut cream, as some kavalactones are fat soluble, not water soluble. Also try and but the more expensive "Noble " Kava that uses the lateral roots which are the most potent if you want maximum "Crunk"

Hi, you made a cool video, but you can make your kava even more stronger, if you add soy lecithin. It works as an Emusifier and your kava will be way more stronger because there are much more alkaloids in your liqiud.Instead of the milk you can use 1tsp of vegetable oil. With these 2 ingredients your kava will be very strong. Especially the lecithin makes a big differenz. And If you wet your straining towel with water before you use it, you wont lose any of the good kava liqiud.

I add a half a teaspoon of black seed oil and 1 teaspoon of Kratom and a splash of almond silk milk the blender does good at mixing in the black seed oil. I must be a light weight because I was feeling very good after the forth shell and knocked out after the 8 th shell.

This is actually how to make really weak kava. You didn't use warm water, you dumped out half the root without kneading it, you only kneaded it for like a 50th the time you should've and you used way too much liquid. You shouldn't need a whole blender of liquid to feel effects. Three tablespoons of kava (15 grams) only needs 24 fluid ounces of liquid at the most if you want it to be strong. Less water = stronger kava.

True true! And there is a science behind it! the kavalactones are very lipid-like, and they respond to heat the same way fats do, their viscosity decreases. Imagine throwng a hot meal on top of a bunch of microscopic chunks of butter. This more fluid state allows them to be absorbed much more easily. Additionally, squeezing with hot water will make it easier for the kavalactones to pass through the root tissue when squeezing. People often say that heat destroys lactones, but if you can keep your hands under the water, it is not hot enough to do any real damage compared to the extra squeeze you get out of it. You can either fridge it afterward - since drinking warm kava made from dry root is quite unappetizing, or make it EXTRA potent with less water, and throw some ice cubes on top of it. I use more kava and less water I've been drinking it for 23 years was in Fiji and I actually used to sell it make it and everything and up done everything I still drink it the way I do it is a quarter pound or so to just a gallon of water it's very strong and I use like a nylon sheet at the stronger effect in the cloth it really helps and I love and I can do anywhere from 1 to 2 gallons by myself that's the best way to kava is just straight always use the Fiji color or walk any other college not strong at all I only use the best

hi. i live in germany and ordered some 30% kawa extract powder from the US but it turns out to be much less than i expected. i don't want to get high on it, but just to use it to relax (mentally and my muscles) and be able to fall asleep quicker, so i don't want to use too much. so how does this sound: 1 tall glass of water, 1-2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of kawa/kava kava. mix in a blender, stain thoroughly and squeeze out the tissue. does the water have to be cold, entirely? or could it be lukewarm (would that increase/decrease the effect?)? should i let it sit for a while to make sure i get the full effect? also: is there absolutely no use to the leftover powder? or could i use it again for a small tea and possibly drink the powder to get an effect? and: could i just make enough for two coups and save one for the next day, or does it always have to be fresh?

you need more kava then that, try 1 tablespoon at first and then work up to 2 tablespoons per sitting. the amount of liquid doesn't matter as long as you drink it all. you can make extra and save the rest in the fridge for up to 2 weeks

I was on sub's for years then Kratom 18g a day for 6 months. day four no Kratom or anything. WD wasn't that bad. first kava was great it was like bud. now its not coin anything. I put 4spoons in really hot water in a mesh and mesh it up. then I put the bag in cold water and soak it to sip on later. it only seems to last 20-45 min.... am I doin something wrong or just used to large daily amounts of topshelf Kratom.

Yeah, it's pretty good. I don't mix any water, I just use whole milk and kneed it for 10 minutes or so. When you filter everything, it doesn't seem thick or unpleasant. It's just like Kava flavored milk.

+buud77 Generally Kava has a reverse tolerance dude. There are people that can drink strong kava everyday for a month and get no effects. The more you drink the less you need. He is likely an experienced Kava drinker so what works for him wouldn't work as well for you. I pretty much used this recipe 90 minutes ago and I just used an entire cup of powder from Fiji and I'm definitely super-chill but if an experienced kava drinker would have just done what I did they would be asleep.

Actually this wont work as well but also it depends. Its not about how much kava you use. I mean it is to a degree. However to much kava in to little water will not allow all the kavalactones to escape and also not work as well. I will say the amount of water used in this video works. But its to much honestly. Id say cut the size down to a regular water bottle not such a huge water bottle like used in the video.

Yes, you release more kavalactones when steeped in hot water, just make sure the water is not boiling, as that destroys some key properties. I steep in water slightly hotter than lukewarm, but make sure to utilize some type of fatty substance such as lecithin or milk as this is key in helping the kava release all that goodness
