Neither of those pairs are canon, just a friendly reminder. So the VAs favoring only one character is...well, a choice. A bad one if you ask me since it fuels the delusions of fans and ignores other ships the writing team set up. I honestly don't understand what's up with the direction of the EN voiceovers. Alhaitham in particular was utterly ruined by his tone, whether it was the VA's choice or not I don't know. But if that was the VA's interpretation of the character it sucked hard. I legit played through Sumeru with JP voiceover because I could not bear to listen to Alhaitham's EN voice.
