Ajanta Deo is a writer and poet and has also trained in Indian classical music and Kathak. She holds a master’s degree in Hindi literature from Rajasthan University. As a student, she was an active member of progressive writer's association. She has been involved in Hindi literature for the past 40 years and has published four books of poetry (Raakh ka Qila, Ek Nagarvadhu ki Atmakatha, Betarteeb, Ghode ki Aankhon Mein Aansoon) and one novella (Yahin Hun Main). She has lived in Jaipur since her retirement from the Indian Information Service.
Ashoke Pande is a writer, traveller and translator. He holds a Master’s Degree in English Literature. Ashok is an author of one poetry and several travel-books. An experienced translator from English to Hindi and vice versa, he has published notable translations of novels and poetry collections, some of which include Lust for Life by Irwing Stone, Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel, Ecology and Equity by Madhav Gadgil and Ram Chandra Guha and the poems of Pablo Neruda, Roberto Juarroz, Fernando Pessoa, Yehuda Amichai, Saadi Youssef, among others.
Shabdon ke Ujale 2022 was presented by Singhal Iyer Family Foundation (SIFF) and managed by India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) under its Arts Services initiative.
SIFF is a non-profit organization that was set up with the intention of working towards better education, a cleaner environment, and promoting their love for Indian music and arts.
