For every 1.5m ht belt beam has to be provided, as manufacturer recommended it. Even though I have observed more cracks in AAC than conventional bricks after 2 years of construction. Anchoring also disadvantages in AAC.

Drop test is not the right method. AAC blocks have low compresion strength (2.5 to 5 MPa (or 2.5 to 5 N/mm²)) while Solid blocks have 5 to 20 MPa (or 5 to 20 N/mm²). Due to this whenever beam settlment happens and fractional bending happens AAC blocks starts cracking. If block work starts cracking even before plastering.. then what kind of blocks are these ?? Better to go with Solid blocks or bricks, both are PROVEN. Let AAC built houses stand for 10 years, then we can go ahead. Have NOT seen any apartments built with AAC blocks ??? Please give refernces.
