@Franic197 ай бұрын
I don't necessarily think Mike is that bad either. He is a Co-host, who pulls back when thinks get out of hand and he seems like a guy that respects his friends and who they are, which Logan doesn't. George is a good guy and you can tell. He holds people accountable when they mess up, even if he has to say it to their faces, which not everybody, especially Logan, appreciates when they got put on blast. The only thing I don't understand is, Impaulsive is not a self-help podcast, yet Mike can talk about addiction and recovering from it more freely, which is also not a topic fitting for what Impaulsive is, just like he said. But Mike is given more freedom, while George seems to barely get a chance to talk about his experiences, religion, to convey a similar positiv message than what Mike is doing. Granded, it's both not the place to talk about it in a podcast that doesn't revolve around those ideas, but giving one more leniency over the other is pretty odd in itself, which makes it problem stemming from Logan, who doesn't seem to have a clear idea what those ideals of the show even are and course correct it to not fall into those branches that he doesn't feel like talking about. But it's amazing that people gave George a chance after he left and that his podcast worked out amazing for him.

I’m a passionate atheist and probably even an anti-theist, but I still wouldn’t show my friend contempt and disrespect over their beliefs. I’d be honest with my friend that I don’t believe what they believe, and if they asked for or wanted my opinion on aspects of whatever religion they followed, I’m sure we’d disagree on plenty. But I’m not so arrogant or deluded that I think anyone who believes something I don’t is a moron. Some of the smartest people in history have been religious, like Isaac Newton. An Atheist as inexorable as Christopher Hitchens acknowledged this with no hesitation. It’s about the institutions, not the people. There is no excuse to treat your ‘friend’ like they’re beneath you and unworthy of your respect, just because you disagree on something; to me, good friendship is not blind adulatory group-think, but just the opposite - being able to disagree wholeheartedly and not put it in front of the friendship shows that friendship’s strength. Logan is a narcissistic self-absorbed sociopath.
