I find it so confusing when the guy is just sitting upright pretty unthreatened but it's a pin. I think you can really tell they're juniors from the frame of the guys. I would've guessed it was 70 or 80 kg class until I saw 90. They're just tall and slim, when in seniors they are damn jacked. Kawabata seems slightly more balanced, more seniorlike frame.

good to see a newaza fighter winning

It's weird that for the top three 90 kg competitors, Tajima and Murao both have ties to Tsukuba, and Tajima and Kawabata have ties to Kokushikan.

By ties to both Tsukuba and Kokushikan for Tajima, what do you mean by that?
@r.s.819Ай бұрын
@@handlesonjass Tajima went to Tsukuba University, Murao trained at Tsukuba's child judo club. Tajima went to Kokushikan-affiliated schools as a child and teenager (but chose not to go to Kokushikan University) whereas Kawabata did go to Kokushikan.

They were all trained by Takafumi Kitahara as kids, that’s why!

@@euanmorse Scotland's national coach Kitahara? That's funny but also a cute story. Is there more info about that?
