Kawah Ijen: blue fire from burning sulfur

Burning sulfur on Kawah Ijen volcano in Indonesia. Fumaroles wind on daily 10 tons of volcanic gases from which condensed sulfur. The liqid sulfur is so hot that it began to burn in electric blue flames.

@@SERIOUSLEE774 If you pay attention, black flame, purple flame, blue flame, and indigo flame are all the same thing and that flame is called Darkness Flame. The thing with darkness flame is that it will always have a dark tint to it, however, you'll be able to find all of these colors in darkness flame depending on how where you're perceiving the fire, how you are perceiving the fire, and when you are perceiving the fire. In some areas it might appear indogish/purple. In an extremely dark area it will appear to be black. In a slight light area you might see some blue. But it's all darkness nonetheless.

Mesmerising flames. Now I understand what James Joyce was seeing when he portrait Hell as “a fire that emits no light, burning eternally in the darkness”. That’s a powerful and terrifying image. All the other visual depictions of Hell in medias imagine it a bright lava-filled volcano pit, that is far less intimidating and interesting in my opinion.
