Last year I purchased the Kawai K500 Aures2, and I’m a very happy bunny.

I honestly never thought a hybrid would become so awesome. I'm in KC, so I'm going to check one out in person!

If I were in the market for a piano, this is the first one I'd be looking at. Next year, maybe...

Hey guys! Thanks for your great channel, always a pleasure to watch your videos. I got a question about something you’ve mentioned in this video - connecting an external midi device back into to audio in order to hear the generated sound through the soundboard. I bought a Kawai NV5 and am using it via USB MIDI to generate audio on an external device. When I try to run the audio back into the NV5 via line in I always get constant noise that’s too loud to ignore so I end up never using the internal NV5 sounds system for audio reproduction. Is there a way around the noise? A way to get a clearer signal when going back into the NV5 to use the integrated awesome sound system?

Very cool technology technology. I’m a little sad to hear though that shoppers playing on your pianos actually annoy salesman. Fear of being judged for poor playing is one of the things that keeps me out of stores like that.

how would the k300 fit in a small room (8 square meters) with furniture (book shelves)? Should I take the K200 better?

To be clear, the AURES 2 system is available on the K300 and the K500, but not on the K200. The K200 *is* available with the ATX4 Anytime silent system, though. As for whether or not the K300 would fit, well, it's only 61 cm in depth, so I guess you have to determine if 122 cm height would hit your book shelves. Hope this helps! 🙂

K200 is excellent but you will need external speakers, and to play the sorts of notes a piano hits at volume you will need pretty expensive speakers AND those all tend to be wide. So you might have 25cm of speaker on either side of the piano, unless you wall mounted them above the piano. The AURES2 is only about 5cm different in depth and you won't need to run as many wires etc. My house is tiny too, old end of terrace property. It was difficult to choose between the K200 atx and K300 aures2. I laid down some wood boards on the floor to simulate the size... Personally I was just about able to accomodate the additional size.

The only "drawback" I can see with this is that you really have to keep up with tuning the acoustic piano, or you're gonna be getting some really cringey sounds coming out if you try to play the acoustic and digital sounds together as the piano goes out of tune.
