Great video! Thank you for not using any effects, it really shows what this machine can do. There is some magic going on in the output section; in comparison the VST version by Nils Schneider sounds very clean. Back when the K1 came out, most of us were concerned about making their PCM modules sound as realistic as possible. Nowadays luckily we're free of such limitations and can focus on every piece of gear's own awesome sound character. I'm sure the K1r is starting to be in demand now.

Nils Schneider's VST sounds very clean because he desoldered the chip in his K1m, and downloaded the sample data to his desktop PC, thus bypassing any analogue DAC conversion. So its the actual raw samples without any further processing. So we currently are lucky to have both convenience and choice, with regard to how we want our K1 to sound. Lucky us! 🤩

Awesome as always! :D The K1 really seems perfect for that lo-res, glitchy, aliased sound, that is yet so rich and alive! I especially love the gated piano sample without envelope. :)

i'm glad you like it! There are several "bass sounds" I don't know which part you are referring to, anyway I don't remember what I did, I was probably modifying presets, precisely this synthesizer does not stand out for achieving "nice bass sounds", but perhaps indirectly you can achieve something pleasant, I love this synth; his warm lo-fi digital audio :)
