I always ask for a sealed case when I go to Popmart - that’s the only way to guarantee a full set since the open ones are restocked with random boxes to make them appear full. They never had issues giving us a brand new sealed case when we ask (they pull it out from the drawers)

For the miniverse stuff, there is a cheat guide that deals with holes on the outside of the packaging. I'm part of a miniverse facebook group and people are always posting the cheat codes.
