It makes you think about the anime canon arc of kawaki and himawari at the ninja academy if he still cares about hima at the present (TBV Chapter 9 atm).
@BorutoStreamTalk5 ай бұрын
Oh he definitely cares about Hima. Probably even more than he cares about Boruto. That’s why they showed him saving her when the claw grimes attack. But I bet he’s been very cold to her over the last 3 years, because he knows what he’s doing to her family and he feels guilty about what this will do to her.

I believe kawaki who hates boruto to no end is going to make sure to mask every action that boruto takes and make it looks like he is an extremely bad person so that everyone tries to kill him and he becomes cornered
@BorutoStreamTalk4 ай бұрын
Yeah, I think so too. Boruto losing control of his Karma in front of the village would validate Kawaki's aggressiveness

Things is, his plan is stupid. Kawaki: Boruto in base just bodied me...I know! I'll force out Momoshiki and then I'll show him! Ha genius!

Yeah, it might make it easier for him to stomach killing Boruto. But more than anything, he knows he won’t have trouble getting buy-in from others if it’s Momoshiki

I think after 3 years people in the village started slowly forgetting the fact that boruto killed naruto, So kawaki's plan was probably to picture boruto as the main threat to the village. And his new plan is mostly to bring back momo inside boruto, so that everyone in the village will acknowledge kawaki into killing boruto once again.
@BorutoStreamTalk5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I definitely think it’s a calculated move. He probably doesn’t have to worry about the majority of the village. They loved Naruto too much to forget Boruto did it. But Kawaki’s concern is probably more towards the leaders of the village. I think he’s very suspicious of Shikamaru and Ino. Especially because Sarada has been talking to Shikamaru.

Interesting take here…I can see this playing out but, what if similar to Naruto/Sasuke Boruto’s death the second time around leads to some type of awakening? Proper deliver on this is key but it’s likely we’re in for a treat. I like what I’m seeing so far though. There’s definitely hints and elements of kendo (the way of the sword) and, as pointed out by another content creator, the way momoshiki is being introduced to the story digs into that piece for boruto’s progression in the story moving forward. We’ll see though, seems hima is playing a bigger role than I originally thought. It would be interesting to see orochimarus potential role, or even fitting in all three sannin in a way that advances the story forward.

Exactly Boruto vs Kawaki isn’t supposed to parallel Itachi versus Sasuke or Sasuke versus Naruto it’s foreshadowing what could happen when Boruto karma resonates with Kawaki and how far and low he’s willing to go to kill Momoshiki.
@BorutoStreamTalk4 ай бұрын
Yeah, Kishimoto is cooking with this story. He using the parallels as a narrative homage, not as a template! I love how dark Kishimoto is going with Kawaki’s descent. The more powerless he feels, the more he’ll resort to extreme measures.

Oh I don’t want him to die! Nah Boruto is the best MC! But just narratively, it feels like that’s where the story is headed. And while I do think Boruto will die, I don’t think it will be a permanent death. This is a Shonen with a one of the biggest IP markets there is. They killed Naruto during the War arc too and then brought him back. I think Boruto’s death will at least be more sacrificial on his part.
@BorutoStreamTalk5 ай бұрын
Nah y’all got me way wrong 😱 I’m team Boruto!! My believe is that when they kill the GOAT, the death won’t be permanent! And unlike the other characters. It’s Boruto that will dictate this.
@Nikolai2i5 ай бұрын
@@BorutoStreamTalk Oh sorry. I didn't get that. If Boruto will die and then brought back somehow it's fine. Technically we had it already once with Kawaki killing him. I just don't want Itachi 2.0 or Minato 2.0. I feel like killing off Boruto entirely will leave a very bad taste.
@AdahOlanipekun4 ай бұрын
I think that the fact that Boruto didn't run away from Kawaki via flying raijin jutsu means that in the next chapter, Kawaki will go after him and cause Momoshiki to take over Boruto's body; this way, Kawaki would win the hearts of those in the village that are on Boruto's side. As regards Boruto's death, I think that he'd die probably in the hands of Kawaki; but would later be resurrected, and this time without Momoshiki.
@BorutoStreamTalk4 ай бұрын
I don’t think current Boruto can resurrect again. Momoshiki straight up said that if Boruto died again, it would be the end for both of them. But it is definitely possible that he was lying since he’s one of the shadiest characters in this story
@alexanderirizarry77224 ай бұрын
This is an absolutely solid analysis. I'm gonna have to reread the chapters and come back at it by providing Kawaki with the benefit of the doubt. I guess he must be smarter than i realized. He very much is a lot like Sasuke, and Boruto really is a lot like Itachi. Wouldn't that make Hima the new Naruto?
@BorutoStreamTalk4 ай бұрын
Thanks! 🙏🏽 And that’s a really interesting way of looking at how she fits in there. In many ways, Himawari and Sarada are fulfilling elements of the Naruto narrative while Boruto and Kawaki are fulfilling elements of the Sasuke narrative. And as grows her relationship with the Kyubi inside of her, it may become even more pronounced. It’s very likely that the Kyubi will make her see through Eida’s omnipotence. So that would be another way in which Himawari and Sarada could operate in line with Naruto, by choosing to ultimately forgive and rehabilitate Kawaki the way that Naruto forgave Sasuke for his misdeeds and rehabilitated him. Meanwhile, Boruto may operate like Itachi here. The tragic hero that only a few will truly know how much he sacrificed for Konoha.

Why do you think Boruto never focused on trying to control his Karma during the past three years? If he had Koji, Sasuke, and now supposedly Oorichimaru, then why did he hesitate to use it?
@BorutoStreamTalk5 ай бұрын
Good question! I’m thinking that at some point later in the story we may even get to see another flashback or an anecdotal scene where maybe they did try to train with his karma activated, but Momoshiki took over immediately. What we haven’t seen Boruto do since he died - and Momoshiki regenerated his heart, lungs, etc - is use his Karma. So most likely, it’s that Boruto can’t keep Momoshiki in the back seat when he’s using the Karma anymore.
@lyx27695 ай бұрын
@@BorutoStreamTalk I assume he was somehow able to control Momoshiki, given what we see in the flashback in Chapter 1. But it doesn't necessarily mean that he may have full control over him, he might have been given stronger pills or pharmaceuticals in order to so. Kishimoto could twist the expectations where as long as Boruto had obtained the karma, it may be almost, if not completely impossible to truly get rid of or control Momoshiki. Ultimately speaking, I wonder what Boruto's fate, as well as Kawaki's.

Kawaki isn't jealous of boruto and he want to kill boruto for Momoshiki who can takeover his body and he loves boruto like a brother and he cares about Himawari a lot If you reread the dialogue of Kawaki and Eida pre omnipotence you would understand that Kawaki isn't jealous.

He doesn't hate the shinju as much as he hates his own brother. I'm afraid his actions after the time skip has no excuses.
@BorutoStreamTalk5 ай бұрын
Yeah, I acknowledge that towards that end. But the point I’m trying to make is that his desire to kill Boruto has become psychopathogical. He has a good reason to do it. In fact, his reason for doing it is so important to him (keeping Naruto safe), that he’s become obsessed with doing this one act. And on some level, he has to embrace the obsession. It’s the only truth for him that keeps him from going crazy. He because he has to kill a loved one to protect his most loved one. But also, Kawaki wasn’t mentally healthy to begin with, so this obsession is manifesting in a really sinister way.
