Klx 140 has low speed transmission, it's design for trails not for speed. It may be slow in pavement but I assure you, in off road track it won't let you down

Another thang keep in mind is a Crf 150F top speed is 62, 63 not much faster than klx 140L the KLX 140L may beat some 200cc , 250cc quads try Ssr 160 pitbike will do 65 depends road , rider, weather , condition of bike less heavy rider more faster

Eric Ride the kx 85 is a 2 stroke I’m pretty sure... the klx is ok but it doesn’t go nearly as fast or have the power of a 2 stroke

I think it's about 11hp. The kx85 has 20+hp (I may be wrong). The kx85 is a motocross and the klx140 is a trail bike. The klx is heavy and slow, has bad suspension and is geared low. The kx85 is light, quick, has good suspension, and geared for racing.

Change the rear sprocket smaller 6-7 teeth and the front bigger 1 tooth. Should be good for 12-13 mph. Did that to my crf100 48mph to 61mph. Of course I put in a stage two camshaft and that went down as the bottom was boosted. Now it pops wheelies. I put a 120 big bore too. And a couple of other things.
