Your methodology is good, and I am glad to hear that you are taking Eagle Rider's advice on how to do it. You want to be sure which valves are which before you adjust the valves as the specs are NOT the same. A good way to tell which valves are which is to correlate them with the side of the engine the govern. In other words, the valves that are pointing toward the rear of the bike will regulate the intake, which you can visualize by the carburetors being right there. Conversely, correlate the valves on the front side of the bike with the exhaust pipes, so these are the exhaust valves. Hope that helps!

I do appreciate the video, but for anybody playing along: the camshaft and valves near to the carburetors are the INTAKE and the camshaft and valves near to the exhaust pipes are the EXHAUST. Also the clearances are confirmed from the Clymer's manual, EN450 from 1985 on should have 0.13-0.18mm (0.005-0.007in) for INTAKE, 0.18-0.23mm (0.007-0.009in) for EXHAUST.

Please learn which is the intake and exhaust. You did it all backwards

You're Backwards! You're putting exhaust adjustment on the INTAKE SIDE! Did you blow up the top end after the Adjustment?
