Kawasaki er5 first ride and review. Is this Bike just too much?

I’ve got one of these and I love it! First thing you notice is the rapid take off. It pull all from any gear. Thesest is perfect and comfortable, you can sit on it for hours without any pains,. It’s remarkable good with fuel . And handles very well, cornering is superb, it’s one of those bikes, that you only need to think,,, about the corner ahead, and the bike just goes round the corner without any effort, or planning. The on thing that lets this bike down, is tha very poor single disc front brake. It seriously under braked for the actual speed that this thing does! . This is a very underrated bike. I would happily keep mine for ever! Any detractors of this bike, haven’t ridden it for long enough, to appreciate its true qualities. Or maybe I’ve got a one off, great bike?

Edit, typo,s : the seat, is perfect & comfortable,, : the worse feature /fault is the poor single disc front brake. / have owned er500 for 12 years. Ok, edit over. Enjoy!

Are they reliable what are the main problems that go wrong with the ers might be buying one for work 1997 model 10 mile daily commute first time back on a bike in 15 years previous bike fzr 1000 exup

If I’m honest I only had it for a day as a courtesy bike so could t really comment on the reliability. However , it had certainly converted some miles and was still going, seemed like a great little bike, would be easy to maintain.

Just when I got to the alps, i saw a young man from Germany stranded on the side of a steep twisty road, as I drove past with a 👍🏻👎🏻 gesturing questionnaire, I saw that it was an ER5 held together by strings and tape, i stopped there and we rode the following 500 together, despite him basically having no brakes. He s my hero, Tom, if You read this, I hope You didnt blow up on the way to wherever You intended to sleep tonight
