Well done but forgot to apply oil to the new filter rubber O-ring gasket before screwing it on.

Hey, yes I figured after I was already done haha. Well I had luck and it did not leak. I will make one more video in the next week regarding changing the oil.

Some brands come pre-lubricated, in this case they often cover the seal with a plastic cap.

Nice bro. But its better if u flushing with new lub oil a bit. I often do like that. Just it consume more lub oil. Also when install new filter, its good to put little bit of oil at the rubber and tighten just enough. Not to much. Or it will damage the rubber at filter.

Thanks for the comment. I will keep this in mind. I totally forgot about the oil at the rubber :). Flushing is a good idea as well :)

Another tip for oil change; You don't need that special tool to take off oil filter, you can use a regular 14" inch pipe wrench or even one of those wide vise-grips.

Hey mate, in the minut 9:54 your bike is on and the oil level show more than full, is that normal on ninjas 650?? If the bike is on the oil level should be negative.. why is that??
@ivanzhivkov6055 жыл бұрын
When I filled the engine with 2 liters of oil (Exactly 2 liters are required) until you start the engine the oil is not through the system, it takes 1 min with the engine on the oil level to go to the middle of the indicator. So after you fill the engine with the oil you need to turn the motorcycle on and leave it to work for 1-3 minutes to get an accurate reading of the engine oil. The oil level needs to be in the middle of the small glass indicator. Ninjas 650 and the Er6n or Er6f are practically the same engines, the Er6n/f is just a detuned ninja. Hope this helps.

The manual says 2.4 liters when the filter is changed
@ivanzhivkov6055 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is true, but it also says 2.4 liters when the oil is completely dried out with a special machine which sucks it out with vacuum or pressure. It takes exactly 2 liters because around 400grams stay in the engine. I have consulted myself with Kawasaki Official Service Regarding this.
