Absolutely love my KFX700!!! She's a beast in glamis....maybe not as fast as other quads but have no problem going straight up top the biggest bowls...torque monster

I used to race a KFX700 VForce on the GNCC circuit back in 04-05 in the Utility Unlimited class. That class was dominated by Polaris Sports and Scramblers for years. When Kawi introduced this in late 03, there was no comparison. So much faster, torquier with the shaft drive, and just overall built better. It was designed with cross country woods racing in mind although a bit big for woods racing sport quads. I put an HMF full exhaust on mine combined with a Twin Air filter, IMS/Roll Design foot pegs, PRM bumpers and nerf bars, equipped it with Elka Shocks, Tag handlebars, ProGrip cushioned grips, HiPer carbon fiber wheels, Maxxis Razr 2's, Penland Brothers tie rods, steering stabilizer, and had an HPD thumbsaver throttle body put on it. I loved that bike and it always turned heads with the sounds of the HMF exhaust. HOWEVER, the width of it got tricky at times in the tight spots on the trails especially if u had any kind of speed going. During muddy races, the shifter usually stuck in gear or u just couldn't get enough grip on it to turn it. That was frustrating. Just having a small gear shifter like a traditional utility may have been a better idea. If your foot brake gets a bit worn, the censor doesn't pick up u stepping on the brake so that was also part of the problem. It can be nerve racking. Also, the fuse box in them after some rough riding seems to let fuses jiggle loose or even blow and u would just be a sitting duck in the middle of the woods. I wouldn't say it happened a lot, but it did cost a few of us decent runs at times. If u can find a place to stuff some spare fuses on their somewhere, I would suggest it. Other than that they're just fun quads. I think Kawi had a great design for a sport utility that could have used some minor tweaks here and there but still a good bike. I really wished I hadn't sold mine. Your vid is giving me the itch to find one now. : )

I rode one about a year ago. If Kawasaki would have done a couple more things lightened it up at least 50 lb and put a standard clutch on it you would have a raptor contender

It's no late model Yamaha Raptor 700R let's be honest..but def a nice machine & big displacement motor has to have good power. *Run good quality full synthetic 10w40 yr rnd & OEM oil filters* . Maxima sells pre-oiled air filters! Premium fuel too & it will last loooong time. -OhioUSA

Literally the easiest quad to wheelie, Wish they still made them. Kinda sounds like they are supercharged. The belt wine sounds amazing. My dad use to have an orange one he bought brand new in 2005 and would ride wheelies for days. Olny thing that sucked is it leaked oil the first day we bought it brand new. Typical kawi quality lol. But imo the ds650 and trx700 is alot uglier. I’d say the ds650 takes the cake for the ugliest quads ever made.
