The magnets in magneto generator are not secured. Old glue is just a timebomb. Please secure magnets with jbweld or something to prevent further damage. Nice build tho

@@mateuszkasza already done, on this and other KLE projects that can be seen on the Instagram account. Haven’t yet posted the video on replacing it. I usually order a new magneto, that has the magnets sealed in epoxy, because the old ones are usually eaten up by the starter clutch

@@restorationvalve fair enough. How your freewheeling clutch made such disaster 😅? I guess you mean that freed magnets grinding arround the strator cables. Or unwinding bolt stucking with the clutch sprocket?🥶

i am in the situation of changing the timing chain on my KLE. since you are so skilled in this area, can you give me a tip about who's the best manufacturer of this part? thank you!
@restorationvalve2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t used any aftermarket timing chain manufacturers, but for a OEM motor I can suggest going with a OEM chain. Megazip.net have them in stock, both in Japanese and USA warehouses.

One question: why didn't you replaced the rotor flywheel with the bad magnets???
@restorationvalve2 жыл бұрын
I did replace the magnet, the one I put on the first time didn't have the correct timing marks.

@@restorationvalve you can copy them from the old flywheel!

The block goes together with a thin layer of sealant, because it compresses the transmission and crank bearing. There isn’t a gasket in between the block
