Kawasaki KLX 650 Dual sport. Most underrated Motorcycle??

I am in the process of doing a bunch of work to my 1995 Kawasaki Klx650 so I figured it would be a good time to point out how great of a bike it is . If you read reviews on this bike you'd be scared to buy it. My experience has been very positive. I love it.
I also will be discussing painting motorcycle plastics. I plan on doing multiple videos on the Bike.

I got a mint 1994 KLX650 in summer of 2020 for $1,200 and I ride it more then my dunebuggy and banshee combined!

Super clean man. Mine was abused and spray painted all over but the engine is super clean. I’m starting to fix it now

Hi I owned a 93 klx are used to ride about 30 km and then go off roadvery big Trailride West Coast New Zealand always wet high altitude limestone up in the coal mines extremely wheat native bush tight off-road tracks that bike performs better than a 93 Kym You could ride this bike all day very impressive

Check out graphics kits that are fitted to these panels. I owned a 96 for 16 years. I called it the beast. I agree with much of what you said but full of fuel down steep hills in sand got extreme major exhaust burn in shorts on 100 degree day.

I got a 96 klx 650r. Need side plates. I’ve found everything else but side plates. Stroked. Fires first kick. But I need to get a new radiator and couple other things but I’ve been holding off till I find the side plates

Bro, I had a 96 uncorked k&n filter gmc mega max and re jetted! Torque galore! No problems.

I had one for several years. What a bike! Jetted carb, supertramp exhaust , new dohickey. K and n air filter. I got lots of parts off ebay. Good luck with your ride.

I just got a red klx (more like pink now), I'm planning on using some vinyl wrap of some different colors, should be kind of fun to do, after suspension , tires, brakes 👍

Krylon Fusion paint actually bonds with the plastics and flexes with it. I've changed the color on several dirt bikes, and I've put them through mud, brush, wrecks.... It holds up well. Doesn't chip off because it's bonded. And it really is. Just for the heck of it, I took a front fender, prepped and painted with the Fusion paint, & twisted it one way, then the other - back & forth. No problemas. I've found that clear coating it keeps it the best for the longest. All colors, matte, gloss, clears, etc are available. I'm getting ready to do it again with Fusion paint on my "new" ride too....95 KLX 650 R(ace model).

You should try vynil wrapping it, but it looks like you are already sanding it for painting

I just got my 2nd KLX 650, But this on is a '95 "R" model. Being a kick start only MX, it's SO much lighter & faster than my 93 "C" model. Tusk has a street legal kit for the places that allow it....here we go again!

Clean KLX, I am looking at one now which is brought me to find your video. After watching your video it definitely helps my decision on picking whether or not I should pick it up. The only problem with the one I am looking is the ignition it broken and the person selling it can't start it for me. Any suggestions on where to find another ignition for I or how to bypass it to get it running?

Wrap the bike white to see how you like it. It’s easy to Peel off if you don’t like it

I bought a brand new KLX 650 r in 96 and wrote it many thousands of miles in Baja it was reliable and fast at the time I sold it and got a XR 400 and it was like getting on a safety Motorcycle that old Kawasaki was such a pig I just didn’t understand it having ever written much else

Did you like your klx? I have both xr400 and klx 650 r. The kawasaki Is heavier, and more powerful. Xr is lighter and more nimble
