I retired as an aerospace mechanic at Boeing in the States. I was certified on proper torquing techniques. Admittedly I didn't see you set the torque wrench to a "mid range" setting but... you did the actual torquing just right. You went to the click and stopped. So many "mechanics" get the click and then click it again several times or they get the click and keep pulling past the click, either over torques the nut/bolt . Numb sculls. you did great!

You have a very good knowledge of the internal combustion engine Dana. I'm quite impressed. However im surprised you don't use Mechanic's gloves to protect your pretty fingers & nails from dings, chips ,& bruises from all sorts of wrenching chores! I have owned a vintage CB 750 for well over 40 years & share your love for classic motorbikes. Bravo!!

@@km90restoration45 Coating the screws with loctite will prevent dissimilar metal corrosion. Anti-seize or even grease will work but the loctite doesn't wash out. I am anxious to see you or your husband ride this machine. The smell of a 2-stroke running takes me back to my childhood.

I hate the unit construction, if any thing goes wrong you have to disassemble the whole thing to get to the problem. Loved the old equipment where everything was separate. My father in 1967 gave me a basket Harley. It was a 1947 Knucklehead engine, 1946 Desert frame, a rear wheel and a 1938 Transmission and clutch assembly. I cut off all the Unnecessary parts on the frame, welded metal in the neck to make it easier to fill and sand down.. dad painted it Candy Apple Blue with White, Black and Gold Cobb Webbing. I bought a racket transmission top, changed out the old kick starter case, and inner gears and push rod for clutch. There was a lot of chrome on the bike, used a SU carb. I had it for about 10 years but my Filipino X wife made me get rid of it and my TR'3
