Mr resto rooster Another great video! The bike turn out great and another lesson learnt with that repair on the exhaust flange..you are a outside the box thinker! I love how you fire stuff across the garage no time for messing around

Another great video as per usual. The repair job was good to show people that dont have a tig welder. You can do alot with jb weld when you use it properly.
@restoroosterohv3 ай бұрын
Tig and re-machining is obviously the proper repair but like you say, not everyone has the access or capability. Thank you for your continued support.

Have you ever tried using a popsicle stick for pushing the cir-clip into place? It's strong enough and the perfect size to hold onto but it won't damage the piston or the cir-clip like a small screwdriver can. Another great video!!!
@restoroosterohv3 ай бұрын
Good tip and a great excuse to have a popsicle!

What adhesive u use on Grips?

Thanks. I pour lil bit of gas in grip and slide them on.
@restoroosterohv3 ай бұрын
Probably works temporarily, but without an adhesive, if any water gets under the grip, they will slip

tig it man.... still a very nice repair i just don't trust jb weld in a hot environment

I guess the point is to show someone doing this at home an alternative repair that wouldn’t have the option of welding it properly.
@pigrond3 ай бұрын
@@restoroosterohv i get that, like i said you performed a very nice repair. longevity however with heat and oil remains to be seen.

As far as the epoxy I'd use marine tech over jb weld
@restoroosterohv3 ай бұрын
Never used it but always had awesome results with JB…if prepped properly.
@ThomasBrock743 ай бұрын
That's insanity going that far and leaving that old ass big end rod bearing in there. You will regret that decision I almost guarantee it....
@restoroosterohv3 ай бұрын
I guess time will tell…
@kcclontziv30563 ай бұрын
It will be ok. Good oil and maintenance saves bearings, unlike the previous owner schedule service.

@kcclontziv3056 it’s going to get love from here on out.
@larrywarner93143 ай бұрын
Hey rooster , if I was you I'd invest in a cheap tig welder , and then when you come across stuff like that you can weld it instead of using bubble gum
@restoroosterohv3 ай бұрын
It’s on the list…however not everyone is going to purchase an AC tig for a job like this so just showing an alternative.
