Wow all I can say is wow when I look at the 78 green KZ 1000. That was/is the bike of my dreams(that or the KZ900) but I couldn't afford it back in 1978. I ended up buying a used 78 KZ 750 in a darker green in 1979 and enjoyed that bike for a couple of years. You did a great job bringing a beautiful bike back to life and actually better than new, the Kerker exhaust in black and chrome is an awesome look. Wish you were my neighbor lol so I could stand outside and see these in person.

I am leaving my 09 Street glide at home and riding the Z650RS to Florida tomorrow afternoon (too cold to leave in the morning where I live) it will be a 2300-mile round trip. I fell in love with the Z1000 when I saw the original Mad Max movie, I would love to have a replica of the Goose MFP Z1000 (dare to dream). These bikes were ridden hard in that movie, so your comment about questionable handling make the chase scenes all the more remarkable. I am so jealous of where you live, there is hardly any other traffic, its like your own private road. The CSR for me has the best soundtrack, really funny that on the first few seconds of the ride portion of the review that the needle was well past the 80 mph limit of the speedometer. I’m working on my 89 ZX10 to get it ready for the new season, so your videos put a smile on my face and keep me focussed and looking forward to riding again once all the salt leaves the roads and the wether gets warmer.😄
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35384 күн бұрын
So cool! I agree about the chase scenes in Mad Max - those stunt men were talented riders. Pennsylvania is a wonderful place to ride - when there isn't snow on the ground. My first sportbike was a 1989 ZX-10 with a ceramic coated D&D exhaust. What a sound it made! It was dynoed at 126hp at the rear wheel. I miss that bike. Cheers!

Hi Jon, another great video. I'm in the UK and have a '82 Red CSR1000, also in lovely condition, and is all stock. But would like to get the 4 into 1 Delkevic as it sounds great, would I need to re jet the carbs? What jets did you use?
@jonsmotorcyclerescueandrev35386 күн бұрын
@ClassicD1 I went up one size on my pilots and mains. However, European jetting may be richer, and the Delkevic website says you don't need to rejet with the full system I have. It changes the nature of the bike. Prepare to be a hooligan 😉! Cheers

Great video to start my day. Thanks for posting! Congratulations on your obvious continued Enthusiasm (capital E) for such bikes.
