I am finding the dealers pretty much know nothing nor do they care. Their only concern is sales and not the future of those who bought vehicles from their business. My dealer has never reached out to me, ever. I feel as if I should publicly tell the story of how my dealer treated the sales person "Bobby" that I was dealing with at Sunsports in Fort Myers, FL. This would give some insight as how these dealerships work and treat their employees which untimely ends up on the consumer. I am seeing this as a trend across the United States and now Canada. This is a real shame. One would think you would want to make a family out of the business you run and take care of your customers/friends. The truth is they only care about a quick sale and what goes in their pocket. Us, WE, they don't give a shit about.

they already sent the recall fix procedures to the dealers to study and order one of the parts for this recall and start doing the repair. so you should start receiving emails from your dealers soon

Contacted my dealer today (7/9/24). The fix is ready. Im taking it Friday for them to order the part and do the fix. Thanks again for doing all the leg work and keep us informed!

I just got a call from my dealership saying have the fix in hand. It's a pigtail along with a reprogram of the unit. I've got mine setup to go in next Friday for the repair.

Just got a call from Midwest Motorsports. The fix is in. Looks like a wiring harness jumper and an ECU flash. They will need your VIN to order the wiring harness parts. Unsure if the parts are made yet, my guy isnt sure when he can place the order. St Louis area. Have a beautiful day.

I bought one in Early March 2024, got 14 hours on it. Is there not a reason a lawsuit shouldn't be filed? Either a class action or a personal lawsuit? It possibly could move things along faster or at least get the attention of someone in the C suites of Kawasaki North America.

It's held up at the government level. CPSC. What I understand is the fix is ready to roll out but until this agency says YES Kawis hands are tied. Unless someone has been injured I don't think you can do a class action. It'll get fixed, it is just a hurry up and wait game now.

@@Michael-ft3rc I have not called them to ask that question nor does it show it on their website. Everything points to yes though. Dealers are aware and ready to roll it out. I just winched mine on my trailer and am eagerly waiting for the call that my wire is in.

Just visited my dealer when they opened today. They have no parts or valid information regarding the fix. More of the same “held hostage”by a mfg and network that produces and markets substandard products. The worst debacle I’ve ever been involved in. They have my money and I have nothing. No laws to protect against this, no mfg that takes responsibility. Can’t afford to trade for something that works because nobody wants these stigmatized units.

Is your dealer an authorized Kawasaki dealer? If they are not, then I am doubting they are knowledgeable. I believe you can take your mule to any authorized dealer. You have to call first and get your info in so they can get you an appt to get the fix.

They will not have a part in stock for you. It's only 1 part and it's a simple wire. The rest is a ECU flash (they take a computer and hook it to your computer). You have to tell them to order your part! They don't keep them in stock.
