when the ECU attempts to adjust air/fuel in those seconds the clogged high pressure filter causes a restrction to the ECU restricting it's correction which then causes one cylinder to be with less correction, usually the left cylinder which then causes the right cylinder to bear all the load, reason being a bad crankshaft and bad crankshaft bearing on the right cylinder. Fuel injector cleaner like STP will help keep the high pressure filter clean when the entire bottle is poured into the 1/2 tank of gas then riden for about 20 miles before filling up.
