I'm a 70yo veteran rider of cruisers and touring bikes all >1Liter bikes. My knees have begun to give me trouble so I've decided to get a light more nimble bike and the 400 is very attractive to me. I'm 6'2" and weigh 210lbs but, I'm letting go of twenty pounds for my knees. You are one of the only videographers on the Nija 400 to examine the size of the rider on the bike, thanks for that. 6'3" is kind of big for such a small Z400. I am 5'8" and own the 2020 Z650 and find the Z650 perfect for my height. I sold a 2011 Suzuki 1250 FA 'cause it was just too big for my liking. I am glad you like your Z400. I think the Z650 is the best motorcycle I ever had and, being 71 years old, I have owned a lot of motorcycles over the years. You can not go wrong with your Z400. A great motorcycle.

Hello Larry, I’ve made some adjustments to mine to accommodate my size a little one being adding the new rear sets. I do agree the 650 is a little more stretched out. I pondered the idea of the 650 but was new to riding so started with the 400, should of gotten the 650 to start, probably now that I’ve ridden the two I could of also learned on that. Amazing your background in riding! Keep it up and stay safe! I hope to be riding the rest my life!

I have had my 2021 400 for 4 months and I have put on over 6,000 miles and I have learned so much definitely not too fast nor too slow to learn on it has a more upright seating position rather than most sport bikes so more comfortable, allowing you to ride all day no problem and the power is still fun my buddy has an R1 and he says I’m still fun to do little highway pulls with At this point I am really reigning him in in the corners even so the bike is by no means a under powered bike or a throw away beginner bike i throughout my entirety of owning have thought I’m keeping it as of the pros stated before. Best beginner bike by far for these types of bikes. Same with him I hardly drive my car and actually I rode mine rain or shine and she performed excellently couldn’t ask any more from her and she definitely hasn’t showed me all she got yet.

Generally, a Ninja 400 has enough speed and power. As do the Honda 500cc bikes. They are all comfortable, can cruise easily on any freeway or expressway, are reliable and economical to operate and maintain. Sports bike style - Ninja 400 & Honda CBR500r Standard/Naked bike - CB500F Adventure style - CB500X Cruiser style - CMX500 Rebel There are the Royal Enfield 650 Continental and Interceptor. For daily or recreational use (Not fir dirt bike activity) these bikes are great "Beginner", Second and keeper bikes. They are great for grocery runs, commuting and occasionally short to midway highway cruising, that is, all around use, these are the bikes to look at. The 250 - 350cc bikes are good, but not if you intend to go on the Freeway or expressway for more than a short run. They will do it, but you will feel it as they are not made for that kind of use. In the end, be it anything from a Grom to a Road King. Enjoy your ride.

These days probably $12 to fill up. Just put $85 into my friend’s 3 series BMW. Insanity.

Hello Matthew I’m 6 foot 3 and the bike fits me alright for my size. Check out my rear set video and you’ll get a side profile of me on the bike. Power wise I got pretty comfortable on it quick. Do you have a dealership near you? I’d recommend going out and sitting on one, I think you’ll be surprised. Hope that helps, if you have any other questions let me know!
