People in the U.S. like to crap on this bike but in the Philippines and most of SE Asia it’s considered awesome! I’m an American living there and I have one and I love it! Perfect for the road and traffic here and fast enough to have fun. Good review brother. U.S. reviewers tend to review bikes like it’s the only country in the world 😄

You are right ! I find that young Americans who have been barely riding for under 5 yrs or less, will usually say this bike is slow and boring (their favorite description) but those are the people that don't know much about motorcycle history, the different type of bikes out there & their engines, or even how you're supposed to ride them..and all they want to do is ride over 150 mph/241 kph on the highway OR even some city streets. I'm 63 (American) and had my 650 since 2018, also own a '23 CBR 650 and a few other bikes. Been riding and owned several bikes since 1985 ..and even used to ride my cousin's 1st Ninja (the GPZ 900) a few yrs after it came out in 1984. All that said, My Ninja 650 is the perfect bike for the city & country roads, while it's not pretending to be a super bike. It just is what it is, a great bike!

The reason we crap on it is because it sounds awful. If it had a better exhaust note we would all have one lol

Indonesian crap on this bike because it sounds like Ninja 250 Instead of "big bike" sound or Big bike supposed to have 4 cylinders instead of 2 It is ridiculous
@PopsRacer613 ай бұрын
@@NotaboyKisher ..what about the Ducati Panigale V2 ? that's a 2 cylinder. You sound silly man!

@@PopsRacer61 it ain't me sire I very much enjoy MT07 and ducati sounds even the 2 flat planes It is just the motorcycle community bashing each other because owning a sport bike is supposed to go with the flow of a trend not what you enjoy They even try hard enough to buy the bike with credits and when theres a new model they sell that with lease to get a new one

I own the ninja650 too-best all around motorcycle ever built and affordable in both price and insurance too which is also figured into the equation.

7:00 No traction control on my 2021 Ninja650,I think the 2023 model was when they added that feature.2021 does have ABS which is far more important.

Been riding an ER6N, the older model with the same engine since 2016, i can say i've got no issues with it, very reliable and fuel efficient for its displacement... Yes it's not that powerful especially if i comapre it to 1000cc class but it gets the job done...

For real dude, it's plenty quick... It definitely starts tapering off on power after 80mph but eh. For a chill rider it's great. I'm averaging right around 60MPG on the 2025 I just picked up, and that's exactly why I bought the 650... Stay safe bro.

Aside from safety I use traction control during my commute to minimise wear on my tyre. Weekends may be a different story. This bike to me is a commuters sports bike. I went for the Suzuki naked cc equivalent GSX-8S. I haven’t regretted it for one minute. Kawasaki are amazing bikes though.

The Suzuki is miles better. The Ninja 650 engine dates from 2006.

@@omega_profile1 I like all bikes, Suzi is more with the times. I adore the 270 configuration. Definitely the bike I ride most in my collection.

@@omega_profile1it's also over £1000 more expensive in the UK. A brand new Ninja 650 is around £6800 and the GSX-8R is an £8000 bike. Those are completely different price brackets. The Kawasaki is clearly a budget option for someone qualifying for their first "big" bike and looking for something a bit more sporty. The Suzuki and all the other middle weight machines are what you would progress on to after the Kawaski IMHO. I don't think they're fair comparisons at all.

Bought a 2022 krt edition this spring after being off bikes for over 30 years ,nice bike ,very roomy and comfortable ,had bikes up to 250 cc before .Great being back on two wheels again ,the bikes are so much better and advanced ,the roads and drivers so much worse ,still loving it though .

I got an ER6n to tour around Bulgaria in April. The Italian gentlemen who was her prior custodian had carried out some rather tasteful mods, of which my favourite by far is the radial front master. Says Nissin on it, I reckon it came off a Fireblade. Damn that thing feels GOOD!!! If you're wanting a brake upgrade, start there. A decent radial master makes more difference to brake feel than anything else. And yeh, that's all the push I needed. Now that I'm back the Honda is getting one too!

Perfect bike for the UK. I also owned a fireblade but did not have any fun riding it on UK roads, it was just too much bike.

Same in Portugal. I used to own a bandit 1200 which with Over 100hp was too much for any sensible street use and kept the engine below 4000rpm most of time. Now own a z650 from 2017 and its a lot of fun rev a 2nd and 3rd gear and go only slightly above speed limits. Is very nimble and really fast at least with me and the torq makes it easy to Ride and overtake even at 6th gear
@douglasgrosch2283 ай бұрын
dont need over 100hp on street this is perfect amount compfy and torqey shift it and go thru gears is fun without doin 150 mph in few seconds /tickets.. just like zx 4rr and ninja 400 all you need for fun.. big liter bikes even zx6 is for track. get this flashed and its all there ./

Should I buy it as my first bike ??
@omega_profile13 ай бұрын
I owned a 2017 model. It depends on your length. Most of my male friends felt cramped on the Ninja 650 (above 1.80m). But to be honest: Don't buy a new bike as your first bike. Get a year of experience and then buy your dream bike. If you take the Ninja 650, take off the original tires and give a bit more pre-load on the rear shock.

Nice video!. I share your enthusiasm fully. My 4 weeks old 2024 650 is a nice bike for me, being a new rider. It has all i need for city use, and on the highway it is fast enough as well. I could name the somewhat boring exhaust sound and some missing features like auto-blip/CruiseControl as some disadvantages, but it is a budget bike that offers good milage and is maintenance friendly. Lots of people remove the sstock exhaust for a Akra or a Yoshi for a sh$tload of $ which is in my opinion a waste as a twin engine will never be as sexy as a 4 cilinder in terms of sound, and performance is hardly improving as well. The full-system only situation (1000 bucks for an exhaust) makes the choice of staying with the stock easy. I just accept this all as it is.... it is fine as it is.. Great bike and good to grow some skills using it.
