I have the 19’ 636 and when you quick shift between 12 and 14000 rpm you don’t have to let off the throttle and it won’t lose power like you where saying.

As i noticed that this is going to be your first bike i can assure you the tech in this beast is well built for beginner riders and i do also recommend getting an abs model for the first bike, well because there are some driver that would put you in danger and i got countless time that the abs saved me alot! ☺️

I have the same bike, the turn signal placement really sucks. All other things are fine, I just wish that the bike can quick shift down too. Also, regarding the traction control, I think you need to bring it to a dealer to fix that. Mine remembers the setting properly. Currently at F-2.

coool! i thought so too! and actually i tested it myself, only when i turn OFF the traction control and it will defaults at 1, if you leave it to 1,2 or 3 it remembers it. so i guess its just the turning off part

ive got the 2020 636 and i added a 16t front sprocket, So much better, and faster, i do alot of highway riding and its like having 7th gear, my speedo is off but well worth it, 1st gear cruises really nice too with the 16t, 😎👍

Hi JefTV, been riding honda grom and rode R3 couple times, was kinda nervous riding 300cc from 125cc and want to upgrade to zx6r. How did you felt when riding zx6r first time? any difference between full and low power modes?

Hiii! Yes i totally get you! When i first drove the zx6r i was thrown off by the weight of a 600cc bike, compared to 300cc bike this is definitely a heavier bike so at first really, you just gotta drive it slow with low power mode. Following to that, yes there is difference in low and high power modes with this bike, given that is in low power mode the bike only uses 60% of its true power

I always tell new riders that it doesn't matter what bike you get, all of them can do you harm if you don't respect it. That being said the zx6r is the fastest of the 600s and it can get away from you when you're first starting out. My girlfriend just started riding and she wanted to get her dream bike which is a r1. I told her a liter bike is too much for her being so new to riding so we got her an r6. If you're smart and keep your risk to skill ratio in line (don't go past your skill level) you'll do fine and in a few months of daily riding you'll be pulling down the highway at 120 without even thinking about it. Think smart, ride safe, get lots of saddle time!
