I've got a ultra 150 that has no compression on 1 cylinder. broke rings caused this the cylinder doesn't look bad. my question is after I pull the jug where would be a good place to send the jug off to to have it Nikasil

Do you have the part of actually splitting the crank cases? That's the title but it skips over that part?

Hi there. I was wondering if you have a video of you rebuilding the crankshaft.? I have a bad bearing on one cylinder 1 connecting rod. Thanks in advance for all your help.

guessing you've long since gotten this one running? I'm eyeing an Ultra 150 on marketplace that needs a rebuild but not sure if it's worth the time and effort, would be the first time attempting a rebuild

Should there be oil in the case where the crank is? I have a lot of oil there

Yes there should be oil in the crank case. Sorry for the late response.

Hey man I have an ultra that lost compression in 1 cylinder. After taking the motor apart I found that piston #1 had a hole in it. How do I tell if that crank is bad? The other 2 pistons are in great shape but I don’t know if that metal messed the crank up.

With out taking the engine apart to really inspect the crank. I would check for metal flakes in the bottom of the case and just rotate the engine over with the plugs out listen and feel for any grinding or rough spots. When you pull that piston out really check out the crank and connecting rod make sure it moves freely.
