Fantastic video, I really liked the pacing of the video and the feature breakdowns, along with what the Expansion Packs brought to the table!

Nice video. I played a hell lot on the Playstation, finished alll campaigns and had fun in the maps with different technology levels (soldiers wars was a lot of fun). I even learned the cheats, so sometimes I was chilling teleporting tanks around.

My first ever C&C game, funnily enough. I owned the original PlayStation 1 version of the game. It was really fun playing through it, even if the controls are clunky at best on controller. Colour palette was weird though, Soviets looked more Salmon Pink than Blood Red whilst Allies looked more a sorta rich Baby Blue than Gunmetal Grey. I probably even still have the old notebook my brother had where he wrote down all the Mission Passwords so you could just jump to your favourite mission despite how hard it was (was even in Red/Blue Gel pens to signify which game's campaign you had to input the code in). Awesome watching this, and I'm glad I had this game to play for my childhood.

Another great video! Its starting to make me interested in trying out the game myself. Keep up with the series!

Glad to hear it! If you do try it out, let me know what you think!
Wouldn't make sense to have them since this is an RA1 video and not RA2.

If you ever make video about Red Alert 2, remember that original version is only basic tutorial, a prolog, a fun what if, when compared to real deal, that is Mental Omega Mod. It is reall new C&C, made by fans. It has 4 main factions, with 3 subfactions for each. Just remember to play original version before, because this mod expects that you have already played the game, and it's hard and extreamly satisfaing. Also, in new update they are going to add act 3, and rewamp previous missions with coutscenes.

Red Alert 2 is next on the docket after Tiberian Sun, however I likely won't be covering Mental Omega. I want these reviews to be focused on the games either as they were originally published or in their current retail state. If I start including mod reviews, I'd want to cover every single one in order to avoid showing favoritism (which is a tall order in and of itself), and I'll eventually cover games whose modding communities I'll be either unfamiliar with or completely unaware of.

nice video so what is your favorite cnc song i think mine is hell march 2

Ooh, good question! If I had to pick, I'd say either Hell March or Warfare/Full Stop. It's REALLY difficult to pick a favorite, though, since there's so many good tracks.

Amazing how similar your story with the game is to my own. Good times with dad when I was a wee lad, etc. It was not the first game I played, but close. I definitely found it to be my first favorite game, and I'm not sure if it has ever lost that position. Also I hear that Christopher guy is a loser 😉

personally, i think red alert 1 is mostly nostalgia. RA 2 is way more superior in every way. and thats the game id recommend to ppl new to cnc overall.

Fair enough. I do think Red Alert 2 is superior in a lot of ways, it just doesn't have the same personal connection for me that Red Alert 1 does.

Yes, although Tiberian Sun was absolutely amazing in comparison. Not that any of those games were bad.
