Native JP speaker here who HATES when people act like knowing one word in *my native language* makes them superior (and also gives them better jobs) and I wouldn't be afraid to rip apart a poseur, so it's legit when I say *this translation is excellent.* Only ONE problem with the subs, and that's just visibility/legibility since most of us are on our phones nowadays. I had to stop trying to read after 忘れずにいたい's translation. I rec making the letters bigger and fatter. The white text over black shadow was a good call. Actually the white text/black BG of US captions is my favourite, tbh.

I read one interpretation by a Japanese fan that made sense to me and helped me see the bigger picture of the song. To make a long story short, she interpreted that the protagonist only finds pleasure in abuse and feels love only through abuse. He probably feels that way because of childhood trauma, caused by his birth mother (his "first" mother) and he now seeks out that experience with other women (like the one in the song, his "last" mother). But those women seem to see the pathology behind that and don't fully give him the abuse he desires, which is why he ends up destroying (killing?) them, which might allude to the fate his real mother suffered. Keep in mind that this is only one person’s interpretation that I found insightful.
