REALLY clean step install. IM getting so many ideas from this build series. Im thinking 2 scepter water jugs would mount nicely on those step areas.

TJ, I know this comment is late, but have to say this is one of my fav parts of this entire build. Finally got my trailer, bought used like yours, got it from a friend who sold some property and had to use to clear out stuff stored. It is with me now, and so now I am making a parts list of things I need to start building. I am no welder/fabricator, so watching all the series over and over and over, is making me want to do it all myself. Gotta find the time! The 13.6 ft Ocean Kayak Prowler Big Game II yak needs to get hauled to the water. LOL. Thanks again for this vid series. Mama is excited to see done so we can go beach camping as well. Thanks for the inspiration. I will be posting vids to my channel as well. Not near the quality of yours mostly from eyewear with built in camera and my phone. LOL. Thanks again.

Should add 2 or 3 red Lights on the back of trailer. Also add some type of perimeter Lights for when you are parked Camping to Light around the trailer ground

Nice build so far. I've enjoyed the progress. I like the steps and love those reverse lights. I'm planning something similar for a small camping/kayak hauler trailer. For the floor, consider composite decking. I saw a guy used it for kayak bunks and thought it was genius. I'm surprised you don't see it used on trailer decks more often. They never warp, fade, or rot. Easy clean up and durable. Happy paddling and tight lines!

I am digging the trailer. Looking into getting a utility trailer as me and my wife both have suvs and sometimes need it. Also want to be able to haul our kayaks mostly. Interested to see how you set up the kayak mounts as that would be something im more interested in until I can get the rooftop tent. keep it coming sir.

Sweet Rig! My PA DMV is the WORST, building from a kit is a pain to title, definitely will keep this trailer in mind for when I switch to a heavy pedal drive....what??? no gas grill swing-out, lol!

Sir, love the channel and I especially love the trailer build. I have a trailer that I want to assimilate your ideas with mine. I was hoping to get an explanation with the wiring inside the toolbox. Did you use a bus terminal and how did you incorporate it into your truck 4pin or 7 pin plug
@KayakUSA13 жыл бұрын
The seven pin plug and box all came together. All the lights wires run to the seven pin box and then the seven pin plug, plugs to the truck. Check out my site - www.kit.co/kayakusa to find everything I used. 🤙🏼

AWESOME upgrade and the marker lights are insane! I really like the housing unit the tail lights come in except I would have mounted them higher making you more visible but that's just me you did a great job. I was under the impression you were framing in the racks. how will you secure things you put on the racks?
