KAYAK FISHING MEGA SESSION - MONSTER PB BASS AND MORE - FISHING MANACLES -

THE SECOND OF THREE VIDEOS FROM MY CORNWALL TRIP KAYAK FISHING.
THE GANG MET EARLY:
Barry Tucker, Felix Hay, Stephen Hill and I headed out Saturday morning 18.09.2021 in search of some cornish sea monsters.
The weather was as good as it could have been and we got a full day out on the water.
We all started by trolling the shoreline before heading out over the Manacles.
The fishing was very hit-and-miss on the day but luckily I found some where I went.
I landed a new PB MEGA BASS, loads of schoolies, pollock, wrasse, mackerel, conger, dogfish, and pouting.
So all in all I had a sick day, out on the water with new friends and caught loads of fish.

Hi Harley, good video mate, i have the same Flotation jacket as you, word of warning make sure it is done up real tight, i came out of my kayak, and the first thing that happened to me was it floated right up over my head, which added to my problems, i couldn't get back in the kayak because it was so cumbersome, lucky my boy was there to help me out, i now have attached a crotch strap to mine which is better, stop it rising up, keep it up mate..

I have herd this mate. They don't fit very well and not designed for anyone with a bloody beard. I think a crotch strap sounds like a good idea bud. Tightlines... 👊

The guys I was with ate some of the mackerel, I froze the rest for bait. id rather return and try and catch them again next year when they are bigger 😁😁😁 cheers

Hello mate, just looking at your setup. I’ve just started kayak fishing, and I’m wondering what fishing rods you use, atm I’ve got some 8ft spinning rods but feel as if I need something more substantial. Happy to see your using the slammers as I do too! Cheers

I have upgraded all my tackle this year. I use daiwa saltiga braid special rods. They are amazing rods but are not cheap. Unless a tackle tart like me. Any decent branded rods around 7.5ft I found are ideal. Anything shorter Is a massive pain. Cheers and tightlines...

What rods and reels are you using?

These are daiwa saltiga braid specials in different lb class. With penn slammer 3 reels. I now use savage gear off shore bass rods 15 to 45g with penn slammer 4 2500. Tightlines bud 🐟🎣💪
