Kayak Fishing Set Up on a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120

A video run through on how i have set up a Wilderness Systems Tarpon E 120 for kayak fishing. I took a standard specification Tarpon 120 and added several accessories to make this into a great kayak for fishing - including installing flush mount rod holders, fitting a fish finder, adding an anchor trolley and anchoring system and attaching adjustable rod holders to the slide tracks. This video may provide some hints and tips for your own kayak fishing set up!

They are a great kayak. California is a great part of the world too, I visited in 2017 for 3 weeks and travelled from San Fran to LA via Yosemite and several other places. Would love to return and have a go kayak fishing! 🎣

Good video, I live in Cornwall and I'm planning to buy my first kayak for fishing..that was very helpful. I think Cornwall canoes are closed at the moment. I need to sit in one before I buy it.

I’ve been enjoying your videos here in Minnesota in the US. I have a Tarpon 120 and with your help and others, I’ve implemented an anchor trolley system (with reel, etc) and a fish finder. Finding a flat surface on which to mount the battery box was a challenge, but I Marine Goop’ed a couple Velcro strips down to keep it from bouncing around in the front hull. Next up, tomorrow I will be adding rod holders. I’m getting tired of carrying around the milk crate. I just watched your video on that installation. Thanks for all you do! Cheers

Have you resealed the hatches on the 120 ? Mine appears to leak after some rain so that will be a wee project to stop it filling up. Some great clear clips made simple to understand by yourself ... Well Done 👏

I haven’t on this kayak - this is one of the newer Tarpon 120’s that has the redesigned hatches. These have much better seals than the previous version and don’t appear to leak 👍🏻

Absolutely! It would be a great choice for that. It is more than capable for general coastal kayak fishing in calm to moderate conditions 🎣

I think the total cost was around £2K or so
