I have a cheapo aluminium shaft paddle, and I don't see the need to upgrade at all. I can feather 0 45 90. it's 100g heavier than the carbon fibre option, and the blades flexing in the water aren't making paddling any harder.

Can you talk about your experiences using those smaller jig? If I’m a beginner and want to learn how to jig, what weight, color, hook size, and rig should I have for my jig? Have you ever caught fish big using smaller jig? I also saw you have DaiwA Nero 4500 and penn slammer 3 3500, which one do you like the most?
@instantrewardspoints6 жыл бұрын
vsonic86 I have various different weights of micro jigs from 12gram up to 100 gram and use them all. The deeper I am the heavier I go usually. My go to weight is 20 gram as I’m mostly fishing around the 20m depth mark. But if I was fishing at 60m deep I would use like a 60gm or 80gm jig to get to the bottom quickly. The jigs usually cone rigged with one or two small hooks around size 2 or 3 I think. And for colour I have all sorts but orange is probably my favourite colour. I caught a big snapper today on an orange micro jig. The one I show in this video actually haha. I will do a video for that ASAP. The way I fish micros .... sometimes I just let them drop to the bottom and wind them up a little bit and put the rod in a rod holder ( make sure the drag isn’t too tight ) and I also cast and retrieve similar to a softbait but with more of a lifting and letting it fall motion. Hope that helps. Cheers

The Penn 3500 and Daiwa 4500 ?? I like them both they’re quite similar both heavy duty quality reels. The Daiwa is bigger so holds more line. The Penn Slammer has a huge amount of drag for a smaller reel so don’t know if you would ever get to use all of the drag before the line broke unless you had maybe 30lb braid on it !! I have 250m of 20lb braid on my Slammer and 300m of 50lb on my Nero so comparing the two isn’t really possible. One is smaller and one is bigger but they’re both high quality spin reels. The slammer is easily the toughest smaller spin reel I own

Hellbilly Fishin I plan to use this for inshore purpose. I always use bucktail but I never try a metal jig before. I have a lot of luck on kastmaster. So it is fine if you cast from ashore ? Any particular action should you have?
@instantrewardspoints6 жыл бұрын
vsonic86 They are designed to flutter down when falling through the water so not sure if you would get that action casting from shore ? But you could just retrieve it like a normal lure
