Hey Great channel! How do you keep your prawns alive over night? Hope to see you around the lagoon.

Wash all the mud from them(mud prawns) and then put them in fridge overnight on piece of newspaper.

Hey, thank you so much. How I normally keep them alive overnight and most of the time in general. I do not put water in the bucket with the prawns, as this tends to kill them quite quickly and for the ones that remain alive become very soft. After I collect the mud prawns, I collect quite a bit of the sea grass that can be found growing on the mud banks, and place this on top of the prawns. The prawns will then actually start to borrow their way into the grass and spread out in the bait bucket quite a bit. I then store the bucket in a cool place over night to avoid them from over heating. This tends to work the best for me, you will have a few casualties, however most of them will still be fresh and alive to use as bait. I hope this helps answer your question.

Are you satisfied with your vanhunks kayak? Do you put it on roof rack on your car? I have never owned one or fished on one but are keen on getting a 9vt vanhuks for breede river.

Pretty much all rotomolded kayaks are about the same, they paddle pretty slowly but are nice and stable. Hard to damage something like that too. The downside is they are quite heavy in the longer models so solo loading on roofracks can be difficult. I have a Fluid Chumani and a Viking double and Im happy with both of those for fishing too.

Hey @roedsbotha, I dig the Vanhunks kayaks, especially for fishing purposes with their chair. The single 9fts and pretty easy to move around by yourself when it comes to loading and unloading, as I do quite a lot of solo missions, I have never had a problem. I normally load it in the back of a bakkie if I am going solo, if it is a short drive down to the lagoon. Otherwise, if I have to use the car and there is 2 of us, I have a small trailer which I converted to take 2 kayaks on the back of. Other than that I am pretty happy with the Vanhunks Kayaks. There bigger 10 - 13ft models also allow for other methods of paddling as well as the possibility to attach a small trawling motor to, which could make life on the water a bit easier. Hope that helps answer your question.
