Thanks you for your video.I was able to repair my kayak watching how you do it. I had damage in the same area. I used red foldgers plastic coffee cans for the patch material (the color matched the kayak). It came out great. I left my screws in there and just covered over them with layers of the plastic. What do you fish for? Thanks again

Yes. I either remove them or completely cover them. Usually, I remove them and then seal the hole.

How about a hair dryer on cold to cool off the plastic . ?

do u end up melting some plastic in the screws cuz wouldnt ther be water leaking into the kayak from there
