I know this is an old video, but I gotta say, there are two major problems with the way he's towing. First, always hook the carabiner under the static line and up, not from the top down as he does in this video. It's much less likely the carabiner will come loose this way. Also, never hook the carabiner around both static lines as he has done. Only hook it through ONE of the static lines. If the bow attachment had come off in this video, the carabiner would have slipped off the lines and the towed boat would be adrift. Hooked through only one of the lines, the carabiner would still be hooked on the static line even though it wasn't attached at the bow.

@@scottlytton5328 There are two types of deck lines on a kayak. The stretchy ones are bungies for holding stuff like water bottles and paddle floats (which should always be clipped as well as bungied on.) The static deck lines are the ones that don't stretch, so you can use them to hold your paddle when doing a self-rescue w/paddle float, or others can grab onto them when you're helping them back into their boat.
