Sculpting a Parasaurolophus Walkeri

Sculpting a 1:40 scale Parasaurolophus in polymer clay.
Clay
I use Original Sculpey on the armature because it sticks well, can sculpt shapes quickly, and is less expensive. I use Super Sculpey for the main sculpture because it is great for details and strong when baked. You can bake the sculpture as many times as you want throughout the process. I bake for 15 min whenever an area is finished that I want to harden.

I find specially interesting the fact that you took into account the most recent conclusions regarding to hadrosauridae's front legs (the big hoof-looking nail and the "fused" third and fourth fingers). Normally we still see depictions of parasaurolophus where they have human-like hands with hooves in three fingers. Pretty cool sculpture and the music is relaxing.

Just keep practicing.. it took him 100s of hours of practice to make it look easy. Remember to not compare yourself to others, just learn from the best but dont be upset if you dont get that skill in a few months.. Youll get there, just remember to have fun and enjoy the ride. 🖌🖌🖌🦕🦖
