This is fantastic! Seeing the inner structure of the melted foam cavern was also pretty cool. Glad that acrylic medium in the waterfall basin held strong!

The bubbles... a Happy Accident. As long as you have plant-life there will always be oxygen forming in the water. Actually, when you think about it, without the bubbles it reduces realism. AWESOME!
@motherofplumerias39434 жыл бұрын
I think those bubbles were a happy accident, Kayakasaurus. They make it more realistic for the waterfall as it churns up the waters in the grotto below. Well done!! Looking forward to next year’s batch of dioramas. 👍👍 *cough* Amargasaurus *cough* 😎😎

I know the bubbles weren't something you were planning, but they work really well in this piece! Since the water is moving and pretty active, there would normally be bubbles in such an environment. :) On a totally unrelated note, I'm loving your little succulent garden.

All these dioramas gave me the impression epoxy resin is the coolest stuff on earth. Great job by the way.
@Reptiliomorph4 жыл бұрын
Stunning as usual. I actually really like the bubbles that formed from the over heating if the epoxy. It gives it the appearance of more movement, and one thing that happens often with pools of jungle water like that is a build up of detritus and other plant material. As they rest at the bottom of the pond or river, they break down and produce gasses. These gasses get stuck, and sometimes aren't able to bubble up to the surface until disturbed - like when a dinosaur walks along. I really feel like they suit the piece, and make it more realistic overall. Great job!
