I watch you everyday. Really I think I have seen every video. I recently lost my dad and fishing is one of the things we shared together, so i guess I connected to your channel. You said something today that I heard on your channel that I somewhat agree and disagree with. It was about patriotism. Athletes kneeling. I wish I could talk with you more about it to explain the other side and really would like to explain more. I love this country, but truth be known this country doesn't love me. Anyway, I want to thank you for your videos. I'm not able to get out to fish much lately. However, i enjoy watching. I know you get a lot of negativity that makes you feel some type of way. I see it makes you sad. I see you have heart. Keep that heart and keep fishing. Because when I'm fishing just, just for that time all my problems disappear. It Just me and the fish. Keep doing what you do.

Long time listener, oops, sorry, wrong media. A note from Helena, Montana sending you greetings during these hot days of summer. Wanted to let you know how much we enjoy your videos and appreciate the hard work you go to in an effort to make each video as enjoyable as possible. After watching you for years, I have added "Kayak Catfishing" to my bucket list. Unfortunately, we don't have big blue catfish or flathead cats in Montana. All we have is Tennessee's version of the "channel cat." I would also let you know how much I enjoy your rambling (positive) commentary about such a variety of topics from toes to utilities. First, I'd go back to the Utility Office and raise enough hell that at least I get some personal satisfaction. As for toes, well, you keep hoping to get that attractive "Asian" manicurist. Come up to Montana and we'll give you a tour of the local rivers and lakes. Good luck and keep up the good work.

Hey Justin, getting a lowrance hds tomorrow for the kayak. I notice you seem to use your topo mapping more than anything else as far as your positioning. Does finding rock piles, trees and sunken ships on your side view play a roll in your positioning as well? Thank you!

I don’t currently have side scan. I have used it before but didn’t find it necessary for how I like to fish.

How effective is the cooler you used in this video. I'm always skeptical that the cooler in our 2014 Parker 2320 won't be effective. Does your boat cooler keep ice well???
@KayakCatfish5 ай бұрын
The cooler in this video was just a cheap igloo cooler from Walmart. It doesn’t keep ice very cold especially in the summer heat. My yeti cooler will keep ice frozen for a few days in the hot temps though.

If there isn't much current and you're only moving at a slow speed, what's the need for all that weight? Wouldn't 2oz be enough?
@KayakCatfish5 ай бұрын
If I’m trolling at around 0.5mph, two ounces isn’t enough to keep the bait vertical under me especially if I am fishing really deep. 8 ounces works well at deeper depths and speeds up to about 0.6ish

I don't know anything about those Asian nail spas but I could say something's about the Oriental massage parlors, which I can't say here but back when I was in the National Guard we was out at Ft. Hood Texas for summer camp, a couple of different years, and some of us went into Waco, I believe it was, and went into a massage parlor, but use your imagination...... Haha! Lordy! Course that was in the early to mid 80's, you ain't gonna find nothing like that anymore, doubtful.

I worked in a bottling plant the Pepsi cans don't get touched by human hands. It all automation , cans come in with no lids they are filled and top is put on by filling machine , the cartons are folded and glued together by machine the packed by machine and end of carton glued and stack on a pallet by machine and shipped. Most of the time the carton are not touched til they are on the delivery truck. Since you by cases the cans are not touched. Know this is long but just giving you some information.

I’m probably the wrong person to ask since I don’t know anything about the body of water you are fishing. If you don’t have any current flow, you may have a thermocline so fish would be higher in the water column.
