I’ve been quiet for several months. I like all your videos. Im a happily retired Respiratory Therapist from Central California. I like to watch your videos because you talk a lot and explain what you’re doing in detail and I appreciate that. I like the carp videos to variety to your skills. You recently won a tournament which you won some serious money. Congrats for that. If the fishing license fees weren’t so costly, I’d still be fishing. But I’m almost 75 and would much rather relax and watch other KZbinrs show off their skills. Keep up the awesome videos. You are much appreciated.

For all those who have never tried this method, give it a shot. Switching to this method has taken our carp fishing to the next level. Over the past year, we have caught dozens of carp over 10 pounds. This spring has resulted in several between 30 and 35 inches. We have even caught catfish up to 10 pounds on it. The bigger catfish just inhale the whole method feeder without getting the hook. Go generic brand on all the ingredients to save a few bucks. Make sure to use plain panko bread crumbs. My only difference is I add a few kernels of real corn to the hook next to the 2 pieces of fake corn on the hair. Now I have a steady source of catfish bait. I scale and filet a carp up every now and then for cut bait. Cut carp with the skin on is bloody, oily, tough as leather, and refreezes well. Plus you can cut the filet in any shape/length you want so it flutters in the current kind of like a giant piece of Fishbites used in the surf. I am still hoping Justin will do a 2 part series, a carp video followed up with a catfish video using the carp for bait.

HEY THERE! I really like your uncut videos and commentary! I heard carp make good fish patties like gar or Choupique. (Bowfin) That snapper: You were right to get the net. Get him on land. There was a stick a few feet from your foot, and if it was strong you could pin the head down with it, and then double pin it with your foot, and unhook it. maybe.😅 What would you do without your big toe at the nail salon? 😂 You could make turtle soup. Comes with its own bowl. Thanks podna!

Re the turtles - bring them in with the net then flip them on their back to control them. For the snappers- give them a glove to gnaw on so you can SAFELY remove the hook. I have landed several 40+lb snappers while fishing and have been able to get the hook out AND keep all my digits. Key is keeping turtle on its back and give them something to gnaw on (occcupied) while removing the hook. Once hook is out- flip them rite side up and they will bolt for the water 😁

The one fishing tourney I ever won (that’s one of 2 that I’ve entered) was a carp tournament ! I was probably 18 years old or so, and I was bitten by the carp bug bad at that time. My dad took me out to Salacoa Lake park, which at the time was overrun by carp. We caught one little one, and then I caught a bigger one under the lights from the bank, waiting for weigh in🤣. Good memories.

In my experience little carp under 2lb just don't hang around the bigger carp, you find em more in areas where there are smaller baitfish which is why you get them casting foe shad. I think its because they would rather compete for food with fish of similar size instead of getting beat up by 10+lb fish but juat a theory

on 27:09 this carp his head is the head of a 20 pounder if he had more food ! Yes for sure he could have been a + 20 pound fish, hes is extreme skinny for a carp ... No wonder you have so manny runs, those fish are verry hungry ... The foodcompetition is to big where youre fishing now.

It is chumming in a sense but I have heard of people using method feeders in states that don’t allow chumming. They apparently get around the law because the feeder is attached to their line. At least that is what I have heard.
