Just depends on the drop, if it's super aerated and you land correctly it's not that bad, if you land poorly, there is a very big risk of injury. Lots of people break their backs, I know of several people personally

I've never kayaked in tea before. There's some really sick drops there. The ones that aren't sick are merely epic. If I were still young and able bodied, I'd save up my pennies and try some of those out! They look like a blast, and a great challenge.

A lot of mountain rivers in Australia look brown. This is due to the Tea tree tannins entering the waterway. Of course, this could also be after a storm and is indeed mud.
