Great Video SzN ! You need to enjoy the other lake(s) though. I have been spending 2 weeks over Labor Day at Signal Mtn for the last 7 years and kayaked all the Lakes. I have watched a Morganther family of ducklings grow to adulthood through the years and have seen Sand Hill Cranes and Bears on the far shore and even in the water at String !!! You need to get to String and Jenny EARLY because the uncourteous hikers take up all the parking at both launch sites even thought they put up signs at Jenny that it was reserved for watercraft 2 years ago !!! Signal Mountain Ramp is a good place to put in and you can hang on the "shingle" beach after your paddle. Yes, for 2 years Coulter has been closed but opened this past summer ('23) and there is a great paddle out to the second cove, turn left and around the Peninsula with a 30 yard portage across a sandy beach to get back to the water. If you bring your own Watercraft into Wyoming you should get inspected for AIS at most Ports of Entry by Wyo Wildlife and get your sticker in Jackson or most larger Cities/Towns at their office.

Very accurate and helpful video. Don't forget that Jenny Lake and Lee lake can get some big waves if a storm comes up. We have been going there to canoe for about forty years.

Must be a great experience to do kayaking on these beautiful lakes …we know how beautiful they are because we went there on our 84 days road trip in 2018 . Jackson lake was so low 😳 was there a problem with the dam …I remember passing close to one there . The views are really nice …it was fun to see once again these beautiful places thanks Have a great week Serge H&S 👩‍❤️‍👨🌈🇨🇦

Do you know if the invasive species inspection permit is valid at other parks (glacier np and Yellowstone)?
@thomaswayneward
@thomaswayneward Жыл бұрын
If you leave the GTNP lake areas, and go out of the park, you must be inspected each time you return, even if the next day.
